CAPI - Collaborative Aeroelasticity Prediction over hIgh Speed Network

Project start: 1998
Duration: 18 month

Based on long term experience in the determination of and research on the loads of wind energy conversion systems as well as on the structural  reliability of such systems GL will furnish their work on application of  evaluation and validation methods. Reliability analysis techniques have been used in wind engineering only to a  very limited amount. However, they can be effectively usedto calibrate  safety factors to be used in the design if sufficient knowledge has been  obtained on the quantitative reliability methods.
In the project GL will act as an end user and will be participating in the  verification and analysis of simulation results. GL will also contribute to definition of requirements and install tools for the collaborative working  environment.
